Including Discounts for Both Public and Members

Quick Steps: Shop > Inventory Management > Products > Products > Actions > Edit

If you have member pricing enabled on your products your customers will automatically receive the discount when they log in.

This is something to note when creating discounts for both your members and the general public.

When creating the promotion and the discount prices you will need to enter in the % price with this in mind. To follow instructions on how to create a discount follow the guide Discounts and Generic / Unique codes

For example for both members to receive the same discount of 30% you will need to enter the below %;

Public - 30%
Members - 22.22%

This will mean that when they log in they already get the 10% then the additional of 22.22% will be added when they enter the code at checkout.
Public
Product $100
Enter code word $100 - 30% = $70

Member
Product $100 - 10% = $90
Enter code word $90 - 22.22% = $70.01 (rounds down to $70)

Another example for both members to receive the same discount of 20% you will need to enter the below %;

Public - 20%
Members - 11.11%

This will mean that when they log in they already get the 10% then the additional of 11.11% will be added when they enter the code at checkout.
Public
Product $100
Enter code word $100 - 20% = $80

Member
Product $100 - 10% = $90
Enter code word $90 - 11.11% = $80.01 (rounds down to $80)
